Full Internal Door Replacement – Islip, Oxfordshire (11 Doors)
Scope
Supply and installation of 11 Deanta Seville pre-finished oak internal doors (contemporary 5-panel design) fitted into existing frames. Two bathroom doors fitted with privacy locks; remaining doors fitted with tubular latches and satin nickel lever-on-rose handles. Existing doors removed and disposed of.
Challenges
Existing frames required careful measuring and adjustment to achieve consistent margins and smooth operation across all doors.
Outcome
A full-house upgrade with a modern, consistent appearance. All doors aligned correctly with clean hardware installation and reliable closing throughout.
Full Internal Door Upgrade – Milton Keynes (LPD Coventry Glazed)
Scope:
Supply and fit three new internal doors, including a pair of glazed double doors and one single glazed door, finished in white primed ready for decoration. Fit matching black ironmongery throughout.
Key points:
LPD Coventry glazed primed doors installed into existing frames.
Accurate set-out and hinge work to achieve consistent margins and clean alignment (especially on the double doors).
New latches and Hiatt “Marvel” black lever-on-plate handles fitted throughout.
Flush bolt fitted to the double doors for secure, tidy closing (with keeps aligned correctly).
Minor timber/frame make-good completed where needed so everything sits correctly once painted.
Outcome:
All doors aligned and closing cleanly, hardware fitted neatly, and the overall finish left ready for the decorator.
Internal Door Replacement – Oxford (7 Doors, Deanta Kingston Oak)
Scope:
Supply and fit seven unfinished oak internal doors into existing frames, including all ironmongery throughout (with privacy locks where required).
Key points:
Door choice guided and specified by me to suit the property and the customer’s brief (Deanta Kingston oak).
Existing doors were 45mm thick and the new doors were 35mm, so door stops were replaced to suit the new thickness and achieve correct closure.
Doors trimmed/planed where needed, with edges prepared ready for finishing.
Hinges, latches and handles fitted accurately for smooth action and consistent alignment.
Outcome:
A full-house upgrade with oak doors that close cleanly, operate smoothly, and sit properly in the existing frames despite the thickness change.
